550 Ton Press System

The press design consists of four tie bars with a top mounted hydraulic cylinder, a tie bar guided moving ram platen, a fixed bottom platen and a center carrier platen, tie bar guided, with bottom acting hydraulic cylinder providing "Oil Spring" action. A free standing hydraulic power unit using a "Servo Pump" to control pressure and flow. An Allen Bradley SLC control using platen position encoders and the servo pump provides a "Smart Press" concept. The main cylinder using a "Fast Acting" jack cylinder and a main ram pre-fill system allows for fast "No-Load" ram movements. Twelve zones of electric heat is available for tooling.
